Privacy policy
This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
This policy describes which personal data are processed when you visit this website. It applies to hotel-wassersleben.de and all its pages.
Controller
Steinort GmbH, Wassersleben 4, D-24955 Harrislee/Flensburg, Germany. Managing director Eicke Steinort. Phone +49 461 7742-0, email hotel@hotel-wassersleben.de. No data protection officer has been appointed; please send enquiries to the address above.
Hosting and server log files
When you open this site your browser sends technically necessary data to our host: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the site. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest unless they are needed to investigate a specific incident.
Fonts and images
All fonts are served from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party CDN. All images are hosted by us as well.
Consent for cookies
Apart from one technically necessary entry that stores your cookie choice, we set no cookies and load no third-party services without your consent. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The basis is section 25 TDDDG together with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Statistics: Google Analytics 4
Only after you consent to the “Statistics” category do we load Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin). It collects pseudonymised usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location at city level and device type. The IP address is truncated. Transfer to the USA is possible; Google relies on standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Marketing: Meta pixel
Only after you consent to the “Marketing” category do we load the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Dublin). We use it to measure whether advertising leads to enquiries. No advanced matching with identifiable data takes place. Transfer to the USA is possible here too, based on standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Map
The map on the contact page does not load automatically. Only when you click “Load map” is a connection to Google Maps established and your IP address sent to Google. Alternatively you can use the directions link, which takes you to the Google site.
Contact form, email and telephone
If you write or call us we process your details in order to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise (f). The form does not use reCAPTCHA; spam is filtered using a hidden field and a timing check, which collect no additional personal data. We delete enquiries once they are settled and no retention obligation applies.
Room booking via an external provider
Bookings run through the onepagebooking tool operated by HotelNetSolutions GmbH, Genthiner Strasse 8, 10785 Berlin. As soon as you click “Book a room” you leave this website. HotelNetSolutions is the controller for the processing there and their privacy policy applies. The same is true for gift vouchers via voucherbooking.de.
Job applications
We process application documents solely for the application procedure (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, section 26 BDSG). Unsuccessful applications are deleted six months after the procedure ends. Please note that email is transmitted unencrypted.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; for us this is the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein.
Version of this policy: October 2026.
